I’ve got the same rear suspension in the Varg and have nearly eliminated any axle wrap. I’ll copy what I learned there. I’d hate to rely on an expensive bandaid when I can minimize the cause with some scrap metal and a rubber snubber.

How do those joints even work? It seems like any angle beyond 0° on them would vibrate. It’s offsetting the dissecting planes. I’d think they’d be creating a constant push/pull scenario.

I was trying to word my thoughts...
Looks good on a show rig. May not function.

was kind of thinking you might have come across them in the fab shop and had some first hand experience....not maybe a 'bandaid' for axle wrap, but more as a way to get more suspensoin travel out of a short driveshaft setup without binding....

Nope, not them. The only weird u-joints I have experience with are the adapter joints, where one cross is bigger than the other for adapting 1310 yoke to a 1350 shaft for example.

I had a little section of vinyl left over from when I made the long-kini for the Varg. I chopped it up this morning and made a cover for the winch on the 3b, since it’s most likely spending the rest of its life out in the elements.

Oh your winch cover did you need to include something to hold it down or will it just ride as is?

I was very limited on material, so I couldn’t even hem the bottom without it being way too short. Otherwise, I probably would have incorporated either a drawstring or an elastic band in the bottom. If I leave it on when this jeep goes anywhere, I’ll just throw a bungee over it.
