Well I have the disk brake conversion complete and wanted to thank everyone for their inputs. They work pretty good. Certianly better then
before. Also did a complete rebuild on the back. I have put about 2500 miles on them and I feel safe but am still a little dissatisfied with the petal feel. It stops great but either the master cyl or the fact that there is some cowl flexing when I push on the brakes, produces a mushy feel on the petal.

I will try and spend some time and write up the job. I think that I want to replace my master cyl with the system that is in my 72 c20 (master cyl + proportional valve). Since the jeep system is now disc/drum and very simular, I think it will add the final touch.

Anyway thanks for all the help and pointers along the way.

Glad to hear you got it completed! Is this on the Jeepster?
You can add a steel plate to the firewall to eliminate that flex.
As for the pedal being mushy, there are some other threads active that discuss bleeding discs after a conversion...
    this one for example:

Mushy pedal is probably still air trapped in the lines or calipers. Be sure that the bleeder is at 12:00 to bleed it.

    Got pics?? :)
Looking forward to your write up.
