304 Valve Cover Gaskets.

    Anybody use some of those thicker ones with the rubber in them? Mine are shot so Times to address this.

    The originals were all rubber, and I thought they were better than cork. Seems like all you can get now is some composition which looks like ground-up rubber and cork.

    To me, it's all about the valve cover straightness. The V8s seem easy to seal. I have not replaced V8 valve cover gaskets ever (except my old 352 F100 at rebuild time), only 258s.
