Or is there a different (larger) end fir the one that goes to the Putnam arm? I assume it’s a GM one to match the Saginaw upgrade.

What is the part number for that drag link end at the pitman arm? Is the pitman arm a GM or Jeep one?

My Saginaw conversion was done by a prior owner, so I can’t say what’s right or wrong. But mine does have a washer between the pittman and crown nut. 325D0D2A-F64D-4A3B-A0FC-E022C84D0463.jpeg

If you’re really attached to that pitman arm, you might want to get one of the inserts for tie rod flips and tack it in there.
    Goferit Products!

A washer will work, but it’s another piece in the mix to create loosening/play issues. Also, if the taper is allowed to go through that far, you are losing clearance for the joint to operate. Make sure the housing of the joint has enough room between it and the pitman arm to travel through its range without binding.

That’s a cool idea. I might want to flip my other tie rod as I don’t like where it sits. Thanks.

To be clear, I was just suggesting the insert to get the TRE back down where it should be, but if flipping one will help out.... goferit!
