Coolant Temp Gauge Install Help

    hi I'm installing a autometer mechanical temperature gauge in my 225 with a stock intake manifold.My problem is where to install sending unit?I only have one port and the heater hose attaches there.what would be my options.Add a tee at the intake heater hose connection or cut a tee in the heater hose?Do I have any other

    no I don't.I have one right behind the thermostat housing that one is big enough but the heater hose goes there.And where the original electric one is but its to small only 1/4".
