I'm getting the AA clutch linkage from the FS board, and I have a question. I've searched and found this by Lynn:

I also have a '71 with the cable. I've looked at the Walck site, but I can't find the part listed above. Anyone have a link, or know (roughly) how expensive it is?

Lynn - Do you have to removed the rivets that hold the assembly to the frame, or do the internal parts disassemble some other way?

    Jeepdoc.com (Krage)

    You will need these:
    1) Shaft, Clutch Pedal Pivot & Brake Pedal Idler (16.95)
    2) Pivot Bracket, Frame Mount for Brake/Clutch Pedal Idler/Pivot Shaft (11.50)

These are the item descriptions directly off the site. To install you just grind the 2 rivets off the old bracket, remove it, and bolt the new stuff on. Not hard at all.

Tim if you ditch the cable set-up, any chance of saving the cable brackets for me, the frame and t/case cable brackets ?

    I'd be happy to, Jim.

I know the bracket on the T-case unbolts, but I think the one on the outside of the frame is welded on... Either way - I'll get you everything that unbolts.

There were no rivets on mine, it was bolted. :?

As for Walcks, it's usually best to just call Carl and tell him what you need.

Looks like the info from Joe above is the ticket. McRuff rebushed my pedal arm so it's not sloppy on the new shaft, my old one was pretty worn...

I ordered up the parts Joe listed.

So the slop is in the pedal arm, rather than the pivot shaft? Hmmmm

Haven't I seen something sold to tighten the clearance between the two? Given Mike's dash to get his Jeep done, I don't think he's going to have time to make me a bushing (he's also building my steering parts right now!!!). Any idea's of what I'm talking about? Seems like it's something that slips over the pivot. Maybe I saw it on Dr. Vern's site...
