Wow, and my wife thinks I come up with some weird stuff. But seriously I am very interested in seeing how this electrolosis thing turns out.

It works great so far. I did the T90 main shaft with amazing results. The sliding gear is now in the pot.

I learned a little tonight while watching the pot boil. My T86 input shaft is ~3/8 in longer than the T90 input shaft. I don'think that length is critical, as there is plenty of spline to mate up. HOWEVER, the T86 and T90 (the long shaft I have for GM applications) input shafts have an opposite slant on the main drive gear (I think that is what is called). The cluster gears have the same opposite slant to match. So, I don't know if that is true with all T90 long shafts, but in my case you cannot use the T86 input shaft and T90 internals. If these gear turn out to be OK, I will prolly still use the T86 case, as the factory adapter has the shifter mounts for my single stick shifter. But, I will have to use the T90 input shaft, main shaft, cluster, etc. The alminum T90 adapter is the identical thickness as the T86 factory adapter.

......Sad thing is, my neighbors pay the electricity bill as the garage I rent from our landlord is behind their place, so mileage really doesn't matter :D :D

I'll try for some before and after pics tonight. The problem is having a digicam in my hands while coated in grease and rust.

    A little more FYI:

The high/intermediate (front) shift fork is larger on a T86 than a T90. This is to accomodate the larger clutch sleeve on a T86. So, it looks like i'll have to swap the front shift fork from my T90 to the T86 shifter. I could just swap complete shift covers, but I would like to keep my backup light switch (although my backup lights are not working for reasons unknown).

I hope it is fine to just swap forks, they look identical except the diameter of the opening. Anyone have any experience with this?

edit: just swapped them over and they are completely identical except the diameter of the fork, so should be good to go.
