AW4 auto trans length?

    This is probably the wrong BB to ask this question on, but does anyone know how long the AW4 auto tranny is? This is the auto found in early XJ and wranglers. I have been lookin all over the net for a length and can't find anything.

    Anyone have a cherokee and care to measure?

    Silly me, I looked around the novak site and came up with a more definate number. I had previously only been able to find info saying it was a couple inches longer/shorter than XXX trans.

    Tossing around the idea of going auto. 4.6-aw4-d300(with 4-1) and regear axles to 4.88 :D

    This was wednesday mornings hairbrained idea. :rofl:
