70 CJ5 V6 Gas Tank

    Are there any NOS or repro gas tanks out there for a 70 CJ5 V6, under seat,and with the twist in sending unit??? Krage and Kaiser-Willys says no. :(

    Thanks for the tip! My first choice was a steel tank but I may have to go the plastic route since there arent any repro steel tanks available.

    Those MTS tanks are tough. I'd use that before steel after putting one in the pickup and seeing the quality of it.

    We've decided to go with a steel tank to keep our Jeep as original as possible but still cant fine a source for a NOS or Repro one. We emailed Ominx-Ada about putting this style on their repro wanted list but havent heard back yet. We think these tanks were used on 67-71 V6 CJ5's but not sure.

    Wow, the Sparkster is sharp. I just found those guys tiny ad in the back of a 4X mag not two weeks ago. Go Sparky!!!! :stout: Thanks for the tip too, I was planning on using one as the whole fuel cell thing will require sacraficing too much room. Good to hear you give it a thumbs up.

    My guess is that you'll have to find a used one and have it cleaned up and sealed if you're not finding a new one.
