I'm putting a timing chain on my 225 V6 and the crankshaft bolt (balancer bolt) is very tight. Is it right hand thread or left hand thread. I want to be sure before I try to loosen it much.

I assumed the same thing but since mine is so tight I wanted to be sure before really getting on it. Have you removed one and know for sure or just guessing? I read on the archives where it is a 5/8 bolt NF but they didn't say if it was right or left thread...

I just did my timing chain too. It is definately right hand thread (225 V6). I had to jamb a screw driver through the balancer and put a pipe on the end of a breaker bar to crack it loose, that's how tight.
