The brake booster is plumbed to manifold vacuum somewhere. Typically it's about a 3/8" ID hose, and there will be a fitting to match. The valv cover is probably a PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) connection. It too gets plain manifold vacuum and should be a fairly large size like the booster connection. Look for your PCV valve - it should be a cylindrical thing that plugs in to the grommet on the valve cover.

Why are you making your pictures so small? I'd go at least 640x480 or I usually pick 600x800 for posting. Hard to see anything at that size. The site will accept quite a lot larger.

    Much better.

Looks like you have a fitting on the back of the carburetor or an insulator under the carb that has several nipples. That some of those are plugged does not matter. You could take that brass elbow out and replace it with a plug if you wanted to make things a bit neater. You definitely need this manifold vacuum connections to the brake booster and PCV.

You may have some other hoses coming from the front of the carburetor. Use your vacuum gauge and tee into those to identify them. If they go to zero at idle, they are ported vacuum, and you could trivially tee into one of those and connect to your distributor. If the big empty port is your only ported vacuum connection, you can either use it - possibly adapting to it with the plastic parts I linked to above - or you can plug it and switch the distributor to manifold vacuum.

Great help thanks! Also couldn’t I get rid of the filler cap w/vent in red and replace with regular cap and then place a vent in the other cover hole?
Just to clean it up more?

Yes, as long as you have filtered air going into the crankcase, which is then removed (along with crankcase vapors) by the PCV vacuum connection. Looks like that hose comes from inside the air filter somewhere - filtered air.

Yes plus I was looking to replace the intake filter assembly so was seeing if I could get rid of that hose but maybe most filter assemblies come with a hose connections.
