Does anyone here run Wrangler flares in the rear for more tire clearance??? How difficult to install???? I was going to buy a set of the bushwacker cut outs, but after looking at my front end I would be cutting behind where the inner fender comes down. I don't want to get into that, especially with glass fenders.

    Thanks

Do you mean the TJ flares? I run those in the back. It's not hard to install them, all you need is some tape, a sharpie and a sawzall. I did mine in a couple hrs. on a Saturday. Makes a HUGE difference. You will like it.

I run TJs all around. The front ones will go back about 3-4" behind the factory seam. So I had to reweld it to the cut line. And the front doesn't line up perfectly. But i don't mind it. I'd like to get a different set of fenders to redo it.

Using those TJ flares gives you more tire clearance right???? Does anyone have pictures of the rear?? That would be the only ones I buy, I'm not going to try and rework my glass fronts.
    Thanks

I have given it thought to run the TJ flare in the rear...Does it make that much of a difference with Tire clearance? I am running 33's with a 2" lift and have had no rubbing issues. :?

I have 33's and there is no chance that it will fit up in the wheel well as is. I'm planning on a 3 inch lift, but I don't want to stuff a tire and have it destroy the glass tub :D
Pictures would be great if someone has them. Also, how much extra clearance does it give.
    Thanks

I have a pic at home of me holding the TJ flares over the stock flares. I have to remember to post it tonight.

That would be great. I know that I can't run what I have now and not do serious damage.
    Thanks

Here's a link to a good site where you can see YJ flare installation on a CJ, then the much bigger TJ flare installation:

    http://www.idaho4x4.com/rockhopper/flares.asp

As you can see there is some cutting involved, but it provides alot more room and a clean look... especially on the rear.

Boy would I love to put those TJ flares on. Unfortunately, I don't think I have room on my glass tub. I might be able to run YJ flares though. Do they offer some added clearance???
    Thanks for the pic
