New to forum I am located in Western Canada, I have what I believe to be a 1968 CJ5 with the V6, I have had this for several years and have done nothing with it other than start it up and drive around the yard every year. here is my VIN # 8305C17 247255 built in Windsor Ontario Canada is this a 1968 with the 225 V6 it does have a 225 V6 in it just wanted to make sure it is origanal. This Jeep is unrestored in decent condition, runs real good, with some rust, I was wondering what it might be worth, I was thinking of selling it, as I am restoring a 78 Dodge Lil Red Express, if it is not worth that much I will just keep it and restore it later. Thanks for the help

    Welcome, mpn...

Based on what you wrote, it sure sounds all original to me. Lots of factors involved on what it may be worth. Truth is that it is worth whatever someone else wants to pay for it. But you're looking for a rough figure tho, right? :D Hmm, with "some rust"...how about $3000 american $$? (which is about $10,000 canadian, ha ha R)...J/K)

Actually, I'd really like to know how you know that it's from Windsor. Does it have a special tag on the firewall? If so, where exactly? I've got what sounds like a similar tag but not on the Jeep, and I'd sure like to know where it affixes to. Thanks!!

The "C" in the serial number denotes canadian made, the serial number is about right for a 68 model. The serial number denotes a v6 as factory.

there are two tags on the drivers side firewall, one has serial # and the other has model # and is directly below it.
