Alright, I appreciate the concern for me and my jeep in my last post. It was amazing, not one person would even tell me how much my stuff was worth, you all tried to talk me out of it. Well, I'm sorry to say, I'm pigheaded, having a kid, want a Harley and need to have my pregnant, soon to be mother be able to park her new Jeep in the garage. Soooo...

Please, pretty please help me with some values of this stuff. I appologize if this should be in the for sale section, but I don't know what to ask for it. As soon as I get the ideas, I'll post something over there with prices. This jeep has lived it's whole life in the dry, salt free west. Everything has surface rust, but not eaton up like in the Midwest.

    -Steering column and wheel (cracked)
    -Floor plate for under pedals
-Large floor plate - front and center
    -Tranny floor plate
    -Hood
-Dash (PO cut a radio hole in it)
    -Right fender
    -Left fender
    -E brake lever and bracket
-Grill from later CJ for accomodating V6 and larger radiator
    -Tub w/roll bar
-Willy's tailgate with spare tire carrier
-Ford heater (maybe from WWII production years, but cool)
-Winshield w/glass (small bb mark, but otherwise fine)
-Buick 231 odd-fire, complete and running
-T-90/Spicer 18, adaptor plate and bellhousing for Buick V6 - new clutch
    -Dana 25 complete w/brakes
-Frame (has primitive rhino lining, but no bends and no apparent cracks)
-"Oh ****" bar for passenger dash, chrome with surface rust
-Saginaw power sterring box - 3 bolt
-Wiring harness (not OEM, relatively new, Jeep ran on it, includes ignition and key, light switch and aftermarket turn signal lever wired in.
-5-point racing seats w/vinyl cover. You know, the generic kind like 4wd Hardware sells for $47.
    -Wrangler springs
-Stock drive shafts, front and rear

It all must go. I can ship some of the smaller stuff, strap some on a pallet and drop it off at a dock in Denver or I'll be driving back to Northern Indiana for deer season on about November 10 or 11th and will meet you on I-80 along the way or at the farm in Argos, IN between 11/12 and 11/20. I may even be able to trailor the frame back, I'll have to work that out. All I'd ask for is a gas money contribution to me and my poor deer hunting buddy.

    Thanks!

I'd say the 231 OF is worth about $10 and I can pick it up in Lincoln on your way. :D

Seriously, you picked the right spot. I don't mind people doing this in order to set prices in the FS section.

Ok since you're gonna sell all this, i'l help with what I can.
    1) dana 25, not more than $100, but worth more than that in parts if it has lock out hubs and steep gears.
    2) saginaw steering box $25-$35
    3) Drive shafts $15-20 a piece if there in good shape
I'm not really sure about alot of the other stuff as it depends mainly on who wants it and what there willing to pay. If the fenders are in decent shape you should be able to get $45-$60 a piece.

Well, the boss' wife always told me to price used stuff at half-new. You need to discount from there for condition. Whatever it will cost to bring your item to excellent used condition needs to be deducted from the price.

For example, a new steel tub is about $2K. One-half that will give you your ceiling for the price. I don't think you can get that much, considering your location ... transportation to where there's a lot of demand will be expensive.

You can use this method on some of the items at least; belts, Wrangler springs.

The adapter and input shaft for a GM bellhousing is worth $50-100, depending on how quickly you want to sell it. I'd split up the transfer case, transmission with adapter, and bellhousing.

Cracked steering wheel, grab bar... a few dollars.

Sheet metal typically costs $50-150 at the salvage yards, depending. Fenders are fairly desirable since they get bashed easily. Stock fenders w/o running light indents are desirable; maybe $75.

Windshield, not much - maybe $25 or $30, unless it has bottom-mounted wipers.

Price it all high with OBO, then if you get an offer and noone want to pay more, sell. It's going to take a long time to sell all that stuff unless you discount it some.

    Mp,

Didya get my PM? I can't tell ya what it's worth but I am interested in the tub, depending on what you decide for price. I was wondering if you could measure it and let me know the overall dimensions, it'll help in deciding whether or not I can transport it.

Oh, and you mentioned coming to GR this summer, definitely give me a holler when you come by!
