I am attempting to refurbish my Sparton turn signal assembly. Everything seems Ok except the rubber wheel that rides on the steering wheel and turns the signal off has become hard and cracked.

Does anyone make these, or, do I need to make a mold, tear off the rubber, and re-cast the wheel?

If I have to re-cast the wheel, any suggestions for the product?

I appreciate the offer. My vehicle has been sitting unused here in AZ for at least 10 years. It would appear that Sparton parts aren't all that rare.

I'm new to the Jeep parts world and thought that since the wheel in my trun signal unit was in poor shape, so were a lot of others. This seems to be a non-problem, so, yes, how much would you like for the wheel or the whole unit?

if you're in tucson you might try willys. rob there seems to have a bunch of nos and salvage parts when i was last in tucson az this spring.

also in a pinch you could try building the diameter back up with "shoe goo" they'll have it at a decent sports shoe place or sporting goods store like scheel's. it's used to get afew more miles out of a pair of running shoes or tennis shoes. dries hard and rubbery. comes in a tube. i would just layer it on and then sand or trim it back tothe correct shape and size.

I called Willys Works in Tucson, they agreed with you guys that recreating the wheel is like pole vaulting over mouse turds.

I'll just try and find a complete assembly, the wheel only serves to cancel the signal anyway so it's a convienience item not function.

I just paid Walks $10.00 for a used one in good shape.

I couldn't have purchased the stuff to make one for that amount.

I do appreciate your helpful responses. I'm glad Lynn (?[I'm terrible with names]) recommended this place.
