carb rebuild kit

    ive got a 74 cj5 and it has a 225 buick v6 in it. the carb is a rochester 2 barrel,2 jet, and i cant find the little number tag the guy at carquest told me about.i dont know the year of the motor. is it possible to find a kit online?is there only a certain yaer motor that can fit in the jeep? any help would be appreciated thanx

    I expect you know, the 225 is not a factory engine for a '74. The 225 came in earlier models - if you post in the Early CJ-5 forum, they may be able to suggest a kit number.

    I don't think their is a tag. P/N should be stamped into the body.

    i simply went down to napa and told em that it was a 2bbl rochester for a 225 manual choke. cost me about $12 with a aaa discount. included about everything but a new float.

    okay then so there is a nimber stamp on the float bowl so that should be it. i know the 225 didnt come with it just dont know much about gm motors, mopars are my specialty. thanx for the help
