Thought there was spacers between the crossmember and frame on V6 models.

There is on mine, about 1". There was a bracket on my transfer case mount that had been broken for a while, make sure that is intact too.

Usually there are 2 spacers (1/4" thick) between the frame and crossmember...lowers it by about 1/2". It can vary though as this is how you set the proper driveline angle. Also looks like your pivot ball stud for the bellcrank is not threaded all the way into the t-case.

bowbender what bracket are you refering to? with the pivot ball stud all in the bellcrank will fall out because of angle. where dose the spacer sit in the middle of the two
    bolts?

The mount on the side of the transfer case didn't line up with the rubber mount on the crossmember, there was a bracket to connect the two. I'll see if I have any pics.

Here's a pic of the t-case/mount/crossmember in alignment. Stock arrangement had a bracket between the t-case and rubber mount/crossmember. I was able to align them when I relocated my crossmember to accommodate my transmission swap.

Was your jeep originally equipped with a Buick v6 or was it transplanted in place of a F head 4 cylinder?
The round puck is not the proper mount for the V6 and transfercase mount. There is a metal L bracket and the rubber mount is the same mount used for the F head motor mount and it is bolted to the side of the frame rail. There should also be (2) 1/4" thick spacer under each side of the transmission crossmember to lower it 1/2".

Here is what the factory V6 transfercase mount looks like. It also shows the 2 spacers that are between the crossmember and frame.

Not sure where to get the steel arm or if it’s available without fabbing it. The rubber mount is easy. It’s an f head engine mount available from walcks or thru crown or omix ada.

One thing to note, the spacers between crossmember and frame are steel. If you used a rubber or urethane body mount there, the movement over time may elongate the bolt holes in frame and/or crossmember. Probably not disastrous, but you'd definitely want lock nuts on there at a minimum.

Originally on the 66 model V6 T86AA used 3/4" plywood spacers each side between frame and cross-member. For the torque suppressor on the right side of the D-18, a "Z" shaped heavy steel bracket was used with the rubber suppressor to the cross-member. This was originally used on my early 1966 Tux.
