I believe the previous consensus was the cheap ones everyone sells aren't worth buying. I've had good luck before with the marine grade ones that are similar looking but seem to be better quality. West marine is one source for them, of course more expensive though. Is it 6 volt still or converted to 12?

Common suggestion was go with the later windshield with bottom mount wipers if you can find one. The cost is comparable to a pair of marine motors.

The little oval ones are hit and miss, lots of variation in quality from different manufacturers. I'd recommend the Bosch "WWF" style units, these are essentially what the factory used; these are available from a number of sources in different sweeps & stickouts.

The wiper that Tim posted is a great replacement fot the '66 (or so) up electric wiper. For replacing the earlier Trico vacuum wiper, I have used a stainless marine wiper. Just make sure to get a 90 degree sweep version. They generally mount by double-nutting the outer shaft spindle in the frame. I have made a small touque bar to keep it from rotating.

I got mine from Defender Marine, not cheap, but water proof. I welded wedges on the windshield frame to make them flat with the windshield, then had to get 3" shafts on the motors.[IMG]
