all the clutch cables i've purchased for my '70 ecj5 had a problem stretching, so i took to a place called Mshar powertrain specialists Inc and they made me a cable up that matches my old ones almost exactly only a little beefier, they told me its the same diameter as the ones on tractor trailers and told me this one wouldn't stretch and it hasn't yet. the only mod i needed to do open one of the cable brackets slightly with a grinder. it cost me way less than the clutch chain linkage from AA and works better too i think.

Is yours the long cable for the v-6 or the short one for the 4 cylinder. What is that companies phone number? I have the v-6 and mine is still stretching after about 8 months. Also how much was it?

in order for mshar to make a new cable for them you'd have to call and find out their info, i took mine right to them, you'll probly have to send them thew one you got now, mine was the v6 but they make all kinds their number is 717-231-3900.
