    ok i have two ways to put a saginaw type steering in my 70 ecj5. a few years ago i went to a salvage yard and found a dj5 with saginaw steering on the driver side. i pulled the entire set-up minus the box's bracket that bolted to the frame only because i didnt have a torch {the bolts broke off and the bracket wouldnt come off}
    and just recently my father purchased a 1973 cj5 from an auction that ran and the drivetrain was good but the frame and body was shot. so i took the entire drivetrain and other misc. parts from that, the entire steering also. now today i finally got around to looking at the steering and found that the dj's steering column is about 2 inches shorter and the steering shaft to the box is also shorter.
    so should i use the dj's because it is shorter or use the cj5?
