    On the outer sides of the windshield frame there are sheet metal pieces that seem to be added on...one on each side. I don't think they are part of the original frame. Unless of course they were added on at some point to reinforce the frame.

    Looking at this picture it shows how the sheet metal doesn't conform with the windshield frame on the inside...it just kind of overlaps.
