I have owned a 59 CJ5 w/Koneing PTO and 283 Chevy for 32 years and I am going to lift 2 1/2". I have been considering reversing the shackles and installing a power steering unit while I lift. Does anyone have any tips, hints or suggestions?

The spring shackle reversal is worth the effort and so is the steering upgrade but you are going to have a more difficult steering project than most if you want to keep the pto winch in place. It is very doable but will make thing a little different that a "standard" saginaw conversion. Herm the OD guys "behind the crossmember" steering box might work but I'll bet it will interfere with your PTO drive shaft also.
