I am looking for a weight guess for a 1969 CJ5 with a V6. Missing parts are: Hood, Fenders, Seats and Mounting brackets, Heater, Windshield, Tailgate, Roll Bar, and almost anything that the worthless bastards could unbolt and steal. The transmission is no longer a T14, but has been replaced with a B/W Super T10 4 Speed.
I came up with about 2,000 pounds dry weight. Sound close?

    More.
I have a mostly stock 70 with V6, 3 speed, roll bar but no roll cage, 31X10.50 tires.
3075 lbs. on a certified scale.

If you remove the hood, tailgate, windshield and rollbar/cage that will take about 1,000 lbs off.

I don't think all those would add up to 1000 lbs.

I 'THINK" mine is between 2500 and 3k in weight. That's for a '60. What else would they have added to a '69?

And you have a SuperT-10 in there? was that before or after they unbolted stuff? That is something if I was in a larcenous state of mind, that would be resting against the back wall of my garage until I found a vehicle to put it into. Not very knowledgeable crooks, are they?

They left the engine and transmission alone. They not only took all the sheet metal off the front end, but they unbolted all of the light fixtures-tail-backup-markers-headlights and buckets. And they went to the trouble of removing a set of old headers and mufflers. FOOLS

GVWR for 1972 is 3750 lbs. You can guess that the payload is ca 800-1000 lbs, so the curb weight is likely around 2750. A V6 is a little lighter than the AMC engines, but no more than 100 lbs I'd guess. You have 5" less length, which is 96% of the '72 length. My guess is it's a little more than 2000 lbs but somewhere under 2500.

OK, I found the weight slip from the scale, it was 3175 lbs, not 3075. (guess my memory was a bit fuzzy LOL)
This is a certified scale used to weigh trucks so I trust it to be accurate.
I've been thinking about significant weight I've added to the Jeep...
Winch & mount, maybe 100 lbs
    Hi lift jack, 50 lbs
Under seat tool box crammed full of stuff, maybe another 100 lbs
    Towbar 50 lbs
15 gallon Rear gas tank, 100 lbs if it was full. (I have no idea how much gas was onboard when I weighed it)
31" tires...maybe 100 lbs over stock sized tires.
That's 500 lbs of stuff, so conceivably a stock CJ would weigh 2675 lbs or so....
    Again, this is a mostly stock 1970 CJ5 V6.

My 69 owners Manuel says curb weight is 2351 lbs. for a v6. I do not think that includes passenger seat because that was an option. They list the weight of 3 tops- 1/2 top canvas 38 lbs, full canvas 56 lbs and hard top 340 lbs. GVW IS 3750 lbs.

Patrick, Sorry to hear about theives pillaging your Jeep. If I recall, my old Tux weighed in at just under 2000lb (by about 10-15 lb) back in the day. Very basic; no top, no rollbar, alloy rims, and with a 215 alloy Buick V8. This was weighed on DOT portable scales designed to catch overloaded trucks.
Why do you need to know the weight?

    Thanks to all that posted.
Donny-Since I left CA. about 13 years ago, and had to leave my JEEP there, I have been trying to figure out how to get it up here to WA. It was stored in a covered area attached to a good friends stationary store. We thought it would be okay there and safe. Come to find out that the A-holes figured out how to get in and since it was a storage area no one was paying any attention to it.
I now got an idea to rent a 12" Penske moving truck and go get it. A cheap one way flight from Seattle to Salinas, CA. and rent a truck. I ran some numbers and figure I can do it for about $700 bucks. I needed to figure the weight so I could see if it would be within limits for a small truck-It is! The only thing I got to worry about is the loading ramp is only rated at 1,000#'s, but I figure with the skillful use of a couple of pallets I can make it work.
As long as the cost of flights-fuel-and truck rental stay reasonable I think I might have it figured out. WCP

Only if I could find a small light weight trailer like we used in the old days. I don' know how to describe it except it was homemade with wheel wheels. The ones we used were single axle with brakes rated for 5,000#s. Short and squat with no extra room for anything. The JEEP used to hang over the back end of the trailer. They had 5x5 1/2 wheels on them so that the JEEP spares would fit. If I remember right the tongue was pretty short also.
I saw one sitting in a yard up in Enumclaw last year when I went to the swap meet, but when I went back it was gone.
If I could find a light trailer then my Chevy Colorado pickup would be fine to pull it. WCP

Flat tow with a tow bar? Disconnect driveshafts, throw some towing lights, make sure the tires are decent, and away you go. I've flat towed all kinds of vehicles home, some from several 100's of mile away.
A tow dolly also works well.

U haul tow dolly and lie about what you're pulling. Your Jeep would be under weight any way. Remove rear driveline and tow it home. About the cheapest way to go. I always tell them I'm towing a Honda Civic.
