im thinking of converting my 70 cj5 with the dauntless v6 to just a single swing pedal for my brakes, leaving the clutch pedal going through the floor. i was wondering if i would have to get rid of my heater thats mounted originally to my firewall or can i still use it where it is? i have found that wilwood sells a swinging brake pedal and also have the master cylinder, or i could use the swining pedals i removed from my junkyard '73 cj5. either way i just want one swing pedal for the brakes.

yes, the heater will have to be removed. Fortuantely aftermarket heatrs are smaller and better than the original so you can always upgrade th eheater if you need to

Why not use the 73 pedals and get it over with? Look better, work better and no air up the ol' pant leg. Just my opinion.

I agree with Dave on this one. When I make the conversion, I'll find a 73-75 donor vehicle.

I did a hyd clutch set up with mine while I was at it. Seemed sensible. Still don't have a heater though. Good luck.
