3a Windshield Vent

I was wondering how to attach the the vent I bought to the windshield, when a smart person on the board told me I had an mb windshield. I want to modify it to accept the vent. My idea is to have a piece of steel water cut out for both sides and bolt to existing threaded portion. I can weld on vent to new piece. Can someone out there cut two out for me. I'll gladly pay for your time and postage. Here is what I have.
