Vac Advance Canister Replacement

Delco distributor
breaker plate # 3 h29 under that # 1110322
No number on the distributor
Do the weights need to come off or just the breaker plate lifted?
I"m not having any luck finding the clip

 

I just remove the vacuum advance screws and slide the VA and breaker plate to give me enough room under the advance rod to push it down and out of the hole in the B plate. Have done it that way several times so I know it can be done without removing anything else. YMMV.

 

That was my plan and how I remove them from the newer motocrafts. I'm having a problem removing the screw closes to the plate (plate covering half of the head). I'll give it another go.
