Just a quick note, I picked up 8 ounces of POR-15 gray manifold paint. While waiting on leaf spring hardware, I pulled all the smog stuff off and and broke all the air tubes/bolts off in the manifolds, so I had to pull them out to re-tap and plug. While I had it out, I painted both manifolds with this new (to me) POR-15 manifold paint. It's really nice. Goes on kind of pearl gray looking and dries to a flat dark charcoal gray color. It goes for miles... I could probably paint 5 more sets just out of that little 8oz can. Covers nice and my manifolds don't look like octopus tentacles now. I don't know how it will hold up over time, but it sure looks nice right now. Good to 1200 degrees. Check it out.

I know it is a bit more expensive but I swear by Jet Hot. I had my manifolds coated 25 years ago and they still look great with zero rust! Not bad for a $200+ investment.

Love the Super Jeep! Any pics??
