    hey gang,
I just got back from a non stop road trip to CA from Montana to pick up this little beauty. I will be documenting it's resurrection here in the coming months, I couldn't be more excited.

I missed all the excitement well I was away a huge fire popped up in a matter of hours crazy, 13 homes lost so far :(. Mother Nature is a powerful force.

@Twin2 thanks the wheels are sweet and it's still got the bumper and spare tire carrier. It does need some new floorboards and other love but it's a time capsule of sorts.

@ITLKSEZ thanks, that fire was growing over 500 acres an hour crazy and the video is truly amazing

That's a great looking jeep! Wish mine looked that good. I'd love to find a set of front fenders off one of those. So I can have marker lights on the sides at night.

That's really great! I would not paint it ... the p[aint is really great as-is. I'd patch the floors (flat stock, blind rivets, make some mats) and leave the rest of the body (mostly) alone.

I'd think about stabilizing the rusty spots. Maybe some rust convertor and clear coat over the spots?

I wanted to make sure I had it locked down on the trailer before I started tooting my horn. I did discover the jeep on here, and purchased it from another member by looking around at different posts, so once again this community shows it's strengths and just how awesome it is.

    Late Renegade I.
    Nice looking Jeep! Congrats!

It does look like it is from the later part of the Rengade I build. Care to share build date (if you have it) and serial number? There are a small number of 71's that came off the line as Renegade I's. Most had the features of the Renegade I but some also had a black hood blister. Love to see some more pictures of it.

Very nice find. Really like the color. I agree with Tim in keeping the thing mostly as it is. I think some washing and waxing will really bring out that old paint.

Tim I agree I would like to maintain the patina it really is special. I plan on patch paneling and new floors but first order of business is to get it timed and running and check compression. Then hopefully take it for a spin.
