There is a cone shaped screen filter inside the side valve cover of my f134 on a 67 CJ5. It is held in place by the front bolt on the cover.
    A. What is the purpose of this scree A?
    B. Is the front bolt the only thing that holds it in place?
    C. Can't really tell from diagrams if point of cone points into the engine or faces toward the outside?

    Thanks guys

Isn't that where your PCV is mounted?

The base of the cone would be towards the Valve Cover. Its purpose is as a diffuser and filter keeping larger globs of sludge and such from entering the PCV system and possibly the intake system down the line. Most of them were tossed long ago.
