    Well this past summer while at our local "Crawl for the Cure" I ended up with a tick in the motor or so I thought after a long uphill climb. Oil was a little low but pressure was good(40psi)so I topped off the oil and kept driving. The tick never changed but didn't really sound like a lifter or exhaust leak and definitely was not a rod.

    So today I started in on it to see what I was up against. I did the poor mans stethoscope with snowmobile gas line and it was the loudest when I would slide it down behind the drivers side head. Then I pulled the inspection cover and found that I must have some thing coming loose on the back side of the block when I saw these 2 shiny streaks/groves in the flywheel.

    Nice to find out it's not internal but I still will need to pull the motor or the trans/T-case to fix it.

    :mad::shock:

    Inspection cover probable got bent from running over who knows what on the trail.
    I'm hoping this was my tick.
    Oh well I guess it's a good time to put in a new clutch.
