I need to replace the little springs that lock/latch my parking brake.
Have been wandering around my shop and yard looking for something I can steal them off of but so far have come up empty handed.
Next move is to head over to tractor supply and see if they have anything there but I don't even know what the hell you would call that type of spring? Anybody have an idea?

are you referring to the two locking latches on pull handle . spring is small . you could use a large safety pin . and cut off both ends

It that case you would have a torsion spring.

    Torsion spring!
Thanks, I couldn't for the life of me think up a name for them.
Safety pin sounds like a good idea.
What I ended up with was taking the springs from some toggle type wall anchors.
They're kind of cheesy so I plan on using two for each latch.
