My basket case seems to have two carbs laying in the back of it . One identified by look only as there seems to be no ID tag or numbers stamped in. It is pretty small and I believe it to be a 2G manual choke. The other seems to be much bigger and by its stamped numbers is an R2-2GC with a choke stove on it. One will get rebuilt. Any opinions on what is best for the 225? Thanks, Don

2G and 2GC are basicly the same carb. But one has a manually controlled choke and the other has the choke stove on it.
The only problem with using a 2CG is figureing out how to get the heated, filtered air to the choke stove if you don't have the correct exhaust manifold to hook up. You can put an electric heater in place of the cover or convert it to a manual choke.

If you look closely, the larger carb most likely has a larger bolt pattern, too.
    Won't fit a 225 intake.

yeah, they used em on trucks and a myriad of other applications. The narrower bolt pattern is what you want.
