out driving jeep yesterday . heading to local car show / hangout . and I noticed brakes were starting to get soft , got to parking lot . and crawled around underneath , didn't see and fluid on any backing plates or drums . darn must be another master cylinder again . looked at it this morning and the front reservoir was empty . little history . did the brakes a few years back , master cylinder . wheel cylinders ( rear ) didn't feel like the front needed it . so they went on the shelf ,shoes and drums . brakes have always been really good . could lock them up if needed . not yesterday ,
So today was a jeep day . new fronts went on , and wouldn't you know it . brake line holes are on the wrong side of cylinder . not that I couldn't bend the S brake line , which I did. . all back together , bled fronts , brake pedal back to normal . man I thought it was going to buy that 140 dollars master cylinder , bottom line is at least when you have the dual master cylinder . you don't loose all your brakes . going to have to remember to check it now and then , guilt for never checking it :rofl:
