If the distributor (out of the box) does not want to drop in then... I suggest that you carefully measure the thickness of the tab at the bottom + the offset since the tab is not center (it only goes in one way because of that). Measure the tab on your new distributer and compare, you will likely find the reason why in won't drop in. This is documented on the web - mine needed filing.

Ok nice... Welcome aboard - I note that you have a black windshield which is correct (as it came from the factory). You need to post in the introduction section - I believe there is instructions for posting images.
