    For a m38a1 or cj5?

Guy near me is selling a set of 4 with tires in "very good condition" for $400. Is that a good deal?

look like jeep wheels . no hub cap bumps .at least I can see . if no holes are wallowed out and fairly new tires . 100 a piece . the way tire prices are
    I would use them . check for 4 1/4 id and 5 on 5 1/5 bolt circle

The 2 wheels look like older Jeep wheels, probably need closer up pictures to verify what shape they're in. Same with the tires, definitely can't tell much from that one picture. Are they 15" or 16"?

Either way, thought $100 for each wheel/tire set was a good price

Jeep rims have a ring around that runs around the lug holes.

You guys 'spose the 14 ply rating is enough tire for a cj5?

I'm a bit sceptical when I see that much armour-all used on tires...

And 8-ply would be appropriate. 14 ply???? Even mobile home tires are only 10-ply rated.

Ford rims can have jeep-sized center holes.

I agree, these look like Ford (or Dodge?) rims with the centers cut out. Common practice back in the day.

OK, considering all that, $400 a good deal for 4? Any concerns using aa 14 ply tire?

I knew something didn't seem right with those centers. I agree on the armor-all comment......looks like hiding age. Unless you really need some tires now I think I'd pass on those. As mentioned the 14 ply rating and the main thing is they look to be worn down pretty good.

    No. Not even close IMO.

14 ply is so over the top, I would only consider them for rolling on a trailer, or around your shop or yard. I would not drive on them, fearing kidney damage.

Yeah, if you thought an ecj5 rode rough before, toss those 14 plys on there, it'll be like driving a brick on a roller skate.

14 ply tires have a load rating of G. That would be more than your Jeep weighs per tire and then some. Also proper inflation would be between 95 - 110 PSI. Those are trailer tires probably on trailer rims.
