1970 CJ5, My springs are 3.5"- 4" from the eyes center line down to the spring at the axle pad with the weight of the jeep on them. Are these high arch springs? I want to go to YJ springs and wondered if I need lift springs or if stock would work, could go to spring over with stock YJ springs if that would get me the same lift and work OK, can't be any less lift than I have now. Any advice?

Ya really don't want to go spring-over. Throws all the geometries right out the window.

Yeah, read up here on what some people have had to do to get jeeps to work right again. I'm not saying a SOA cant be done properly but it is a lot more work than you think it is.

:iagree: I did a spring over with YJ springs and it will cost more than double what you would spend for a regular SUA lift. Unless you are planning to do some hardcore trails, stick with spring under. FYI a spring over with stock springs will give you 5" of lift.

As an add - for that money look at Holbrooks... SUA and real flexy. They work great with Rancho 9000s
