Good evening. I hope this isn't too out there. I've gotten to the point on my DJ5C project where I want to get a working speedometer again. I currently have no speedometer at all so I'll be purchasing a new one. I believe the DJ5 uses the same speedometer as the CJ5. I have a turbo 350 trans with an open hole where the speedometer sender/gear goes in but nothing there either so I'll be purchasing everything from the speedometer gear to the gauge. I have tried searching but everyone who swaps the trans can retain the stock setup because it connects to the transfer case. The DJ5 does not have a transfer case however so I have to plug straight into the trans. I have been told second hand the CJ5 speedometer cable will screw right onto the turbo 350 sender housing. Can anyone confirm or refute this? Either way I'm hoping for some guidance here. Thank you for your time.
