Valve Cover Gasket

    Which better cork or rubber? Why?

    Rubber seems the better choice to me. It may dry out after a while, but the cork can compress, and if you seal the cork with aviation sealer or similar, then it's trashed as soon as you take the cover off. A rubber gasket might be a bit more "reusable" if you need to get under the valve cover. Just my HO.
