Half Cab Soft Top for CJ5

After searching for a metal half top and researching the specs and Pros/Cons for my 73 CJ5 I have decided not to purchase one. I still want the look of a half top and I know that you can get a half top for a newer wrangler. Its always tricky to find parts for an older jeep.

They have bikini tops for my jeep and I've seen wind breakers for a newer CJ. Any idea where I can find a wind breaker for a model like mine?

 

Soft half-tops used to be made by the aftermarket suppliers, but none today that I know of.

If you really-really-really want a soft half-top, you can probably find someone to make one for you. But it will co$t you, and it won't be quick. Nate (garage gnome) had a very nice top made for his flat fender - maybe you could ask him about who made it.

Some upholstery shops make custom tops for boats - perhaps one of these shops could make a half top from a full top, or something like that. Probably the easiest route would be to fabricate a bulkhead to go behind the seats and make a new panel from the top down to the bulkhead.
