    Look for a muffler shop that does custom pipe work. They'll have a mandrel that they use to expand pipes. Just take the bearings with you, and ask them to be very gentle.

    i have a postal column that i was sanding and painting and during i heard a rattling in the column, then after i was finished i had ball bearings fall out. is there any place i can go to get the bearing that is in the column?

    I am having the same problem i need a DJ steering column rebuild kit or something (upper and lower bearing horn contact and springs)
    I'm searching the forums but i have yet to find any info about the DJ column

    You might try googling AAA postal jeeps. There used to be a vendor in the south that specialized in postal parts. For my column, I used bearings from Jeepdoc. In the end, I was unhappy with the column (steering wheel came off while on the trail :shock:), so I replaced it with a XJ column.
