I just got a 71 cj5 v6 that came with no alternator. In a box of parts was a new delco 10si, I have seen the wiring diagrams on here but I am still just a little confused, do any of the 3 original alternator wires get re-used? It looks like one goes to the starter solenoid and maybe the other goes to the key? Or do these goto the wrong spots originally and need to be re-run?

    Thanks!

Its very simple . the two wire plug .brown wire goes to idiot light . Red wire goes to 12 Volt terminal on back of alt .same terminal 12 volt hot off battery cable lug on starter solenoid . if you don't have plug . most auto stores have them , here a web site you can look at
