As the title suggest - what are best dates of the year for sales from places like Kaiser-Wilys, Novak, Advance Adapters, ect?

I am planning on rebuilding my T90 transmission and D18 transfer case this year and I might even throw in an Over Drive. But, I am going to wait until the best sales are active so I can save as much as possible.

I did try searching on the forum using advanced and "sales", "sales dates" and I even tried using google: "site:earlycj5.net sales"

I got a lot of hits but none really matched what I was looking for, mostly got back sales brochures.

I was thinking Christmas or Black Friday are the best dates but I would love it if there was some decent ones around July 4th

I kinda doubt you'll see much variation in prices with the season. That mostly affects consumer products that sell in much higher volumes than any of this stuff. The retailers that handle this stuff are tiny-to-small businesses typically, and they don't have much leverage over the market. So I'd expect them to look at their business plan, decide on a price point, and stick to it.

I think you're better off to identify what you need and shop around. With transmission and transfer case parts, you'll definitely be better off to shop for quality not price, even if it costs a little more.

If you want Crown or Omix stuff, look at Oconee Jeep. Oconee seems to be able to get around the drop-ship paradigm that other sellers use with Omix/RuggedRidge - for others, the shipping is typically outrageous. Herm is another outlet that can be price competitive, and he is willing to give a lot of free info with the sale.

I have never seen a sale on a Jeep site. As with anything, the more you buy at a single purchase, the better chance you have to get a lower price point. I usually give return buyers a better price on parts.

I have never noticed a sale at Advanced Adapters or Novak but Kaiser-Willys definitely has sales. Last Christmas most everything was on sale, I think it was 25% off but not positive. That is why I asked, I could not remember the percent they dropped. I also know 4Wheel Parts had a pretty big sale. I guess I could just email them directly and see what they say - could not hurt

One good thing is I got an email from someone on the forum who can help me out with the Advanced Adapter stuff which should make a big difference.

I am definitely going for quality guys, that is one reason why I was asking about the sale times. I know some of these guys don't really do sales but others do
