Man Tim, if only we could get a neural digital download of your knowledge, it would make up one heck of a reference library... :D
I didn't even know power valves could be two-stage. I'll grab one and we'll see how it goes.

So, lose the Torker and go stock... Hmmmm, there is that '78 CJ7 in the bone yard with a V8 in it. The one I got the PS pump off of.
Changing the manifold would give me a bit of a look inside the engine.

Everything on this poor puppy is shade tree'd. I am surprise how well it ran considering the jumble of wires, open vac ports, and such.
You should see the sparkplug wires and dizzy cap.
I put about 100 miles on it before I parked it to do the springs and front end. The power valve had started to leak and I really hate
    fuel fires.

The To-Do, and Need-To-Do list just keeps growing and growing.

Back in June I had found reference in one of your posts to the Vacuum diagram for the 304. It's now enclosed in a plastic sleeve
    and taped to the hood.

Again, thank you for taking the time to answer my questions and posts.

After all these years I finally get an Edelbrock, and it's the wrong style. :D
I remember in High School pouring over the performance mags and talking with friends about how we would build a Hi-Performance engine...

Yeah, a junkyard manifold should be cheap, though commercial yards usually charge a lot for engine parts. Maybe it'd be a good source if it's a pick-and-pull. Prices should be posted.

If you can find one that someone is discarding, $20 would be generous. Check your local Jeep forums. That's how I got the '82 manifolds for my J10 - free plus a donation to the forum.

Got back to the computer too late for that one. Already snatched up. What a decent price!

    Thanks for thinking of us!
