As part of my project to amass a debt larger than the GDP of most European countries, I've bought all new dashes for my Jeep, and am having a brand new dash made.

Question is, where to put all of the guages, lights and switches?

    I've got 2 large dials (3 & 3/8") 1*Tacho, and 1*Speedo
    I've got 5 smaller dials (2 & 1/16") 1*Clock, 1*Fuel, 1*Oil, 1*Volts, 1*Water.
I've also got the 6 set of dash lamps. Switches etc.
Plus ignition, oh and a starter button from an actual Formula 1 car (last year's Jordan car) - a pimp trimming I know but what the hell, it's cool!

I may need to leave space in the future for the rocket launcher, and heat seeking missiles... ;-)

So, can I see what your dashes look like so that I can get some ideas?

    All ideas welcomed. Many thanks

    Stuart.

Whatever you DO make your dash with Removable guage and Switch Panels, you will not regret this when adn if you ever need to work on anything on there makes for adding switches nice to

I have no room for more guages, would rather keep it simple and striped !

Hey Yzer, was that before the mice moved in?

Mugzilla, thanks for the pic. Car looks great and it's close to the colour i'm thinking of for mine. Any pics of the rest of it - with or without mud...

My Jeep hasn't seen mud yet. Yeah, it is a poser Jeep, for the time being. The reason it is so clean? I had alot of good rust-free parts. My Dad started with a 73 and a 75, which were beginning to rust out. Did I mention the restore began in 1984?

It went from being a rebuild to a "How pretty can I make this thing?" A ton of time went into steel wooling the chrome trim rings, cleaning the glass inside and out on the gauges, etc. It helped pass alot of time during the winter.

One of these weekends, I am going to paint that rusty master cylinder, install poly engine mounts, stainless "bling" strut rods, install my MC2100, order reproduction dashboard vin stickers...

A guy named Root Hogger on JU is going to bring his 75 and we are going to find some mud near Boardman, Ohio this spring.

The color is 96 Corvette Cloisonne Blue. If I had to do over again, I would've painted her orange....

Man, that is one great looking Jeep. I don't think I've seen one anywhere near that nice anywhere. It's a Jeep that's had a lot of love...

I think the bling strut rods are a must! Surely they are essential to the robustness of the vehicle? ;-)

Do you know I almost think it's too pretty to get dirty...
