How much flow should I be getting through my PCV valve at:

    1. Idle (no/very little air flow?)
    2. Med RPM low load (wide open pcv? Full flow?)
    3. Heavy load / uphill (closed off pcv?)

Also, when testing vacuum and setting idle mixture, should I disconnect pcv valve and plug the port on the bottom/ back of the carb? I can't get her to stay running if I plug the port on the bottom/back of the carb where the hose coming from the pcv plugs in, but should it stay running when I plug that port?

Vacuum is highest at idle. Therefore you should have full flow at idle. The only time the pcv should be fully closed would be full throttle. Leave it connected for idle adjustment.

After posting, found this after some more extensive googling ... Seems to indicate restricted flow at idle, full flow on acceleration ... But qualified with "most PCV valves" work this way.

I'm getting 17-17.5" of vacuum at 750 rpm idle ... Roughly 1100 ft elevation.
