I know you are supposed to do a leakdown test with the engine warm, but I already had the rockers off of the engine. Put each cyl at TDC and then put 90psi in each. None seemed to leak through the carb, exhaust or radiator that I could tell, so seems to be mostly rings?

As you can tell, Odd/Left/Drivers Side bank (1,3,5) is much worse than Even/Right/Pass side (2,4,6). Any thoughts? How much difference is cold vs. warm test?

Also noticed while I was cranking to get the cyl to TDC that oild was coming out pretty good on the pass side oil galley hole in the head (I have all rockers removed on both sides), but only a small dribble on the drivers side.

Note to self, if you put your finger over the oil galley hole and crank the engine, be careful when you remove your finger ... or you get a geyser of oil.

Here are some pics on the (relatively new) plugs ... would love the collective commentary of the ECJ5 wisdom on all of this!

Both oil galley holes that travel from oil pump to the camshaft galley up through the block through the head to the rocker stands to the rocker shafts and rockers comes from the same place...........they both should have equal volume & pressure. Look for some restriction in the one...............head gasket sealants or debris will plug it up..............as far as the plugs......the oil is either coming from the rings or the seals on the valve guides if you even have any? The old ones were just rubber seals that slipped over the valve stem that get old and hard and don't seal anymore..........the newer version usually requires machining of the valve guide boss to except the new seal.
