Unidentified Bracket Hanging Down from Drivers Side Motor Mount

    I have this bracket hanging down from the drivers side motor mount ... It's the rect shaped bar with the hole in the end in the picture below. Anybody know what it's for???

    It would be in approximately the position to be a support for a PTO shaft bearing. But not a normal item in that regard... the bearing is usually mounted to the bell housing.

    I'm pretty sure that is not original, I have never seen such a bracket made of flat stock located there. Who knows what a PO may have done...
