Hi there, I'm going to start installing my 4" lift kit soon on my 74 cj5, I'm putting 2.5" wide springs in the back and was just wondering what way is the beast to weld on the new perches. Do you do one side at at time? or bolt both springs on with u bolts then weld the perches. Would you change the angle of the diff to reduce driveshaft angle, kit comes with drop mounts for transfer case. Thanks for the help

If spring are same lenght as oem i'll by welding them at the right place you remove them. Start with the front perch and after that do the one with the shakkle so you be able to make ajustment.

For d-shaft angle, i'll wait after you put the new spring and look how the angle are. If you need ajustement you be able to do it there. If you drop t-case you may need to move axle pumpking up so you'll need to grind off the weld on the axle perchs so you can move everything out. You can do it too by using shimm but i rather prefer the first option.

For drive shaft angle here the best thing to follow is this guide.
go www.4xshaft.com and go into tech info and from there go on driveline geometry 101.
