I have a 4 cyl OHV engine in my Jeep (1964 CJ-5) It sounds like one of the lifters is starting to click. I just passed the 500 mile mark on the rebuilt engine. The book I have is a little confusing about adjustment. It shows an adjustment just above the cam and also one at the rocker arm. I am guessing one is for the flathead engine and the other for the OHV engine. Any of you have a suggestion which is correct? Also, what the clearance should be?

    Thanks

Your engine should have both - the exhaust valves are in the block and the intake valves are in the head. This is what the designation "F-head" means.
