Pre bent brake lines

    Classic tube was very accurate for me.

    I recently purchased a pre-bent set from Inline Tube after reading mixed reviews from other forums about other vendors. Customer service was excellent however my rear brake line tube was way too long. Not sure why there was an extra 2-3ft of tube. (see pics below) All the fittings were correct, as were the bends. They also included the spiral stone guards like the factory lines.

    I ordered the classic tube kit and some of the peices just seemed a bit large...

    Just make them.

    If you use the Cunifer/Nicopp line, bending is really easy. Ypu don't even need a tool - just hold on to both ends and bend the tubing around a convenient round object. I use Nicopp exclusively now. I buy it in rolls on eBay; it's more expensive than steel (about $1/foot for 3/16" line) but you will ruin fewer pieces and it won't rust out ever. It's very easy to rework if you make a mistake. Get a good flaring tool and practice making flares before you start. The wire wrap is available from Summit racing and not expensive.

    The factory does a 90 degree right turn after reaching the rear left shock. I used the extra slack to make a large "U" shape and secured the line using some rubber coated hose clamps I picked up at the hardware store. It doesn't look neat but I won't have to look at it very often. In hindsight, I'd agree with Timgr and make my own lines. I saved my old lines and should have just bent them to match. Another option I was considering was Poly-Armour lines.

    I did buy a small section for my pump to carb line and it really does bend easily by hand. Supposedly super resistant to corrosion and DOT approved.
